History
The South Plains Antique Tractor Association (SPATA) has been in existence since 1995. Currently, the club has 203 members from the South Plains, Panhandle of Texas, New Mexico, as well as Michigan. We continue to grow each year.Activities
SPATA gathers on the second Saturday of each month for a meal, business meeting and fellowship. Meetings begin a 5 PM, and members usually arrive early to begin eating. Average attendance at monthly meetings is 40 to 50 members. We attend to business, socialize, and have guest speakers on occasion.Annual Antique Tractor and Engine Show
We hold our annual antique tractor and engine show the third weekend of October. This event includes parades, tractor games, demonstrations, children's games, fellowship, and a worship service on Sunday. Bake sale items, crafts and memorabilia can be purchased from vender booths. The tractor show is a family event and fun for all ages!Exhibitors traveled from Kansas, Texas, and New Mexico to participate in the show. This year there were 106 tractors, 3 cars, 24 engines, 6 lawn & garden tractors, 1 trailer and 1 planter. Our show continues to grow each year! View photo slideshow from the tractor show.
